Als witziger Kommentar zu jenem Beziehungsgeflecht, das zwischen Bekleidung/Mode und Schmuck besteht, ist Cut-out zu sehen: Den Halsschmuck hat Susanne Hammer – wortwörtlich – aus einem T-Shirt heraus entwickelt, indem sie einen Teil der Randverstärkung um den Halsausschnitt abgetrennt und eine Uhrkette durchgefädelt hat. T-Shirt und Metallkette bilden gemeinsam das Werk. Cut-out ist ein Statement zum Verhältnis von Widerstreit oder Vollendung, von Konkurrenz oder Abhängigkeit zwischen Kleidung und Schmuck. Cut-out can be read as a witty comment on the relationship between clothing/fashion and jewelry: Susanne Hammer developed the necklace – literally – out of a T-shirt by cutting out a part of the tubed neckband and passing a watch chain through it.
